Why I Blog - May 14, 2008
Some say they do it for money. Some just want to vent or share their knowledge. I do it for all three reasons and more. My main reason is “potential freedom”. I’m tired of working 55 hours a week and getting a small commission while the boss gets all the rest. I’m tired of getting a schedule change okayed so I can enjoy a day at the beach with Brittany and Kelsyn.
I want to punch my own time clock, make my own hours, and put Kelsyn’s schedule first. Am I looking to get rich? Of course I am, everyone is. Do I have to? Not at all. Once I get to the point that I’m making equal money with my current day job, I’m putting in my notice. I have two more years before Kelsyn is old enough for t-ball, but according to Brittany I only five months before her first beauty pageant. So I’m going to have to keep on truckin’ and accomplish this feat sooner than later.
For those of you who are thinkin’ about givin’ up on one of your goals. DON’T! If it were easy, everyone and their mother would be doin’ it. Life is about challenges and triumphs, the harder the challenge, the bigger the triumph.
